I have applied to study Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London. I studied A-level Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics and I achieved A*s in all of my subjects.
Alongside my A-levels, I have also achieved gold awards in the British Physics, Chemistry (twice) and the Biology Olympiads. My awards in Chemistry and Biology were achieved in Year 12 (competing against Year 13s) despite the fact I don't study Biology for A-level. I have also achieved gold awards in the UKMT maths challenges since year 7 and have qualified for the British Maths Olympiad twice. I received the first-ever maths award in my school as a result.
I have been tutoring fellow classmates and peers since Y11 and have experience teaching maths and science at GCSE and A-level standard. I also teach a large variety of students from Years 9-12 and across multiple exam boards.
My approach is very student-centered and focussed on topics and areas of weakness identified by the student. A clear explanation is provided at the beginning of each session to build up a sound theoretical understanding of concepts which can then be applied to specific exam questions. Revision tips and exam strategies are also highlighted to ensure students are confident going into their exams and are familiar with most question types and what the mark scheme requires.
