I am a 21 year old male, currently taking a year hiatus from my Psychology degree at the University of East Anglia. I have excelled academically during my Psychology degree, averaging a high 2:1 mark, and earning a place to study at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. I have a keen interest in sport, playing American football university level, and I enjoy playing saxophone in my spare time. I am available for tuition after school and in the evenings Monday-Thursday, and potentially on weekends as well. I will always aim to be as flexible as possible with timings to meet your requirements. I am located in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and have my own transport for tutoring with students at their home.
I tutor A level psychology but also offer a service mentoring and motivating students, especially in this stressful and difficult time. I have experience of tutoring GCSE psychology and have a good grasp of the new GCSE specifications. I have also taught English in Nepal on a volunteer basis.
I really enjoy tutoring and enabling students to grow in ability and confidence. I recognise that individuals have different learning styles and employ a variety of approaches to address particular areas of weakness. I am able to go back to basics when necessary or to stretch more able pupils. I am able to connect with my students at a personal level because I have fairly recently been through my GCSE and A levels and understand the pressures. I will always ensure sessions are productive and enjoyable and focus on identified areas, such as weakness that may have been picked up at school.
