Audrey

I am a 26-year-old Trainee Biomedical Scientist working in an NHS Laboratory. I have over three years of experience tutoring Maths and Sciences. My background includes a First-class bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science, three A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology, and ten GCSEs, including English, Maths, and Science. I believe myself to be kind, approachable, and professional, with a passion for helping others while developing personal skills.

Tutoring Experience

When I was in Sixth form, I was a science prefect whereby I initiated an after-school science club for secondary school pupils in years 7-11. I assisted pupils with homework, led science activities and projects alongside a science teacher. With this initiative, students were confident in their work and were able to excel in their science tests at the end of the term. After doing this, I realized that I loved helping others, especially young people, and my peers told me that I was very approachable. More recently, I have over 3 years tutoring have been personally tutoring students 1 to 1 in key stages 1 – 3 Maths and English, helping them grasp concepts. In addition, I have tutored students with GCSE and A-Level Science, which has enabled them to improve their knowledge and understanding of the specific science subjects, allowing them to achieve and exceed their potential.
I am quite familiar with the school syllabus and what students need to know, having recently graduated from university. This puts me in a great position to assist them in achieving their goals.

Tutoring Approach

My tutoring approach focuses on any areas of personal concern, whilst helping the student maintain a high standard throughout all aspects of their course. I also like to give work for the student to take with them and do and give them feedback during our next session. I understand that not everyone learns in the same way, so I can personalise sessions to meet the student’s unique learning needs.
