I achieved an A* in A Level Government and Politics and went on to study Politics and International Relations at university. After graduating, I pursued a career in Parliament, gaining hands-on experience at the heart of British politics. I now work in the Civil Service, where I advise the government on understanding policy and governance. My academic background and professional experience have given me a deep and practical understanding of the subject, and I am passionate about helping students achieve top grades and develop a real confidence in Government and Politics.

Tutoring Experience

Alongside my professional career, I have over five years of private tutoring experience and previously worked at a tuition centre for 2 years, where I taught English Language, English Literature, and Politics. Through this, I developed strong skills in supporting students academically — from creating lesson plans and tracking progress, to communicating effectively with students and parents. I am passionate about helping students not only achieve top grades but also develop a real understanding and confidence in Government and Politics.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach is student-centred, supportive, and focused on building both subject knowledge and confidence. I tailor each lesson to the individual needs and learning style of the student, breaking down complex political concepts into clear, manageable parts. I aim to create a space where students feel comfortable asking questions and thinking critically about the subject. I place a strong emphasis on exam technique, essay writing skills, and applying political theory to real-world examples — all key to achieving top marks. My goal is not just to help students succeed academically, but to foster a genuine interest in politics and how it shapes the world around them.
