I have worked in finance for the last 25 years and can teach Economics at A-Level. However, my academic background is in the sciences. 2 of my 4 A -Levels were in Biology and Chemistry. I have a BSc in Biology from UCL and a Masters in Clinical Immunology and Neuroscience, as well as a Masters from Glasgow University in Psychology. I am a mum of 2 teenagers in years 9 and 11. I was born in London and have lived in the UK all my life as well as 10 years working n Hong Kong. I am passionate about teaching and helping students reach their maximum potential.

Tutoring Experience

I have helped students with school entrance exams for 7+, 8+, 11+ and 13+. I have helped as a supply teacher at a top London independent school. I have also tutored for university entrance interviews including Oxbridge.

Tutoring Approach

Making a connection with your tutor is key. I love to see students excel and reach their potential. I want my students to learn to love the subjects they study. I can help you excel in exams but also to expand your knowledge beyond that and make it relevant to the world around us. For me it is key that we click and you enjoy the sessions with me. When you start to enjoy learning my subjects, that's when you will reach your potential. I can work with all ages preparing for school entrance exams, GCSE and A Level. I like to start by assessing your level, finding out where there are gaps and then working on those together. That includes gaps in the content but also looking at how you learn, how you revise, how you use your time and your exam technique. We will work towards your goals, whether that's achieving specific grades or just preparing for interviews with knowledge beyond the curriculum.
