I have studied Economics and Finance at The University of Exeter, and I am currently working as a graduate economist in the Civil Service. I believe that the methods that helped me achieve a strong first-class degree and three Dean’s Commendations during my studies can be applied to help you achieve similar results in your A-levels.
I have studied economics for four years at university, achieving a First Class degree and three Dean's Commendations. Since graduation, I have been practising economics as a professional working in the Civil Service.
While at university, I have helped several classmates to understand economic concepts and achieve higher grades on exams. I have experience working with younger people: I have taught coding for primary school students through Code Club and mentored second-year university students to help with their internship applications.
My teaching approach is flexible depending on your goals, but it mainly focuses on putting your learning into practice. In my experience, the best way to ensure understanding is to not just read or listen but to talk, write and apply your learning. I aim to do this by solving problems, answering questions or discussing recent economic developments in-depth and linking them to the topics covered in class.
If you are interested in studying economics at university or working as an economist, I can add extra value by sharing my experience with studying economics and working as a graduate economist.
