I am a proud father of two wonderful children, aged 10 and 15, who keep me inspired and motivated every day. Since moving to the UK in 2001, I have had the privilege of establishing several businesses, but the one closest to my heart is an online platform called KidSmart. This platform is dedicated to helping children prepare for their 11+ exams, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to see the impact it has on young learners.
In addition to KidSmart, I’ve created educational games and published books on Amazon, all with the goal of making learning more engaging and accessible for children. Most recently, I developed a card game called Maths Quest, designed to help primary year students improve their speed in Maths. The game is currently in the testing phase and will be launched in the market in the near future.
When I’m not working, I enjoy singing and catching up with friends, which helps me unwind and stay connected to the things I love outside of my professional life.
With over a decade of tutoring experience and a diverse background in teaching, I bring a wealth of experience to my tutoring sessions. I have taught programming to children, guided primary students preparing for 11+ exams, and supported secondary students through their GCSEs. My experience extends beyond school-age learners, as I have also taught computing to professionals and in corporate settings.
This broad range of teaching experiences gives me a unique advantage. I understand how to tailor my teaching methods to suit different age groups and learning needs, ensuring that each student receives the most effective and engaging instruction. Whether working with young children or adult professionals, I know how to adapt my approach to make learning both accessible and enjoyable.
I’m proud to have helped many of my 11+ students achieve scholarships at some of the best schools in London, and I maintain an impressive success rate of over 90% with my students. This track record reflects my commitment to their academic success.
My Education Philosophy - "Learning is not just about memorising facts, but about understanding concepts, building confidence, and inspiring a lifelong curiosity."
I believe that every child is special and learns in their own way. My goal is to create a positive and personalised learning experience where your child can succeed and feel confident in their abilities. Here’s how I do it:
Tailored Learning Plans: I start by understanding your child’s current academic level, identifying what they’re good at and where they might need extra help. Based on this, I create a customised plan that matches their goals and learning pace.
Strengthening the foundation: I focus on making sure your child really understands the core concepts, not just memorising facts. This helps them build a strong foundation that will support their future learning.
Engaging Lessons: My lessons are interactive and designed to keep your child engaged and interested in what they’re learning. I use different methods, like problem-solving exercises and real-life examples, to make learning both effective and enjoyable.
Building Confidence: I work on boosting your child’s confidence, especially if they find certain subjects challenging. By encouraging and supporting them, I help them overcome any fear or anxiety they may have towards difficult topics, particularly in Maths.
Regular Updates and Adaptation: I regularly assess your child’s progress and provide feedback. This allows me to adjust my teaching approach as needed to ensure your child continues to improve.
Exam Preparation: If your child is preparing for GCSE or A-level exams, I offer targeted support, including practice papers and exam techniques, to help them feel ready and confident.
Research based learning methodologies: I practise research based methodologies like pre-test learning, spaced practice and interleaving worksheets to maximise the learning and retention rate.
My aim is not just to improve your child’s grades, but to inspire a love for learning and equip them with the skills they need for future success.
