Over 25 years teaching A level Psychology with excellent results. These are consistently at or above national averages. I am passionate about my subject and able to make it very accessible.
I am versatile to suit the learners needs, I use a range of strategies and am skilled in enabling students to understand the more complex areas of Psychology. I am fully conversant with all AS topics and teach Relationships, Forensics and Stress at A2. I am skilled in developing exam technique and in the application of Psychological theory, a skill that is valued by examiners. During our first session, I will assess what your requirements are, what you hope to achieve and what teaching and learning techniques will work best for you. A former student was kind enough to give me this lovely reference: "Barbara was the best Teacher I ever had. Her passion and enthusiasm for Psychology were infectious. She used a range of helpful methods for supporting everyone to recall specific details, and our whole class did so well in our exams. She made learning fun. Any student would be lucky to have her as their Tutor." I will work with you to achieve your goals.
