Becca

Dr Becca Voelcker (PhD, Harvard University) is a lecturer in the history and theory of contemporary art at the University of London. Becca also holds a Masters from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelors from the University of London. With a decade of teaching experience, Becca holds a PGCert in Higher Education Teaching and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Authority (HRA).

Becca has previously lived in the US, Japan and Wales, and speaks English, Japanese, and Welsh.

Alongside academic work, Becca writes for film and culture magazines including the British Film Institute's Sight & Sound, and broadcasts with BBC Radio.

Tutoring Experience

As a lecturer at the University of London, Becca teaches across undergraduate and graduate programmes. She holds a PGCert in Higher Education Teaching and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Authority (HRA). For 5 years, she taught at Harvard University, at both undergraduate and graduate levels (film theory and history, general studies, and art theory). In the UK, she has tutored one-to-one language and literature classes, including A-level literature for AQA and WJEC exam boards. Recent clients include university students working on written assignments in Anthropology, Sociology, and English Lit. Becca received Harvard University's Derek Bok Certificate of Excellence in Teaching 5 years in a row.
