Hello, I am a friendly and patient, fully qualified teacher from Cheltenham. I have a First Class Bsc Hons Degree in Psychology and a PGCE with a Maths specialism.
I have been teaching Maths for the past seven years and Psychology for the last six. I would be happy to discuss my experience and specialisms with any potential tutee.
I have taught Maths to all ages at Key Stage 3 and the GCSE foundation course in Key stage 4 and 5. I also have experience in teaching the Functional Skills Maths qualification at Entry Level 3, Level 1, and Level 2.
I teach the AQA Psychology course at A Level and am confident to tutor in all core and optional topics covered by this course.
I have previously tutored year 10 and 11 students who are preparing for their GCSE Maths exam and looking to gain the skills, practice, and confidence to achieve their potential.
I have also tutored an undergraduate Psychology student to help them with their essay and report writing skills as well as to better understand the content and its application.
I work in a student-centered way, identifying the needs of each student I work with and then tailoring the tutoring to support them. I use past papers and example questions to help exam students prepare and will use a variety of questions and coaching for exam and non-exam students alike to ensure they have a solid understanding of core content.
My aim is to provide a supportive and comfortable environment where the student can learn and be confident to ask questions and explore topics in the depth required.
