I am an optimistic and personable tutor who maintains high expectations for every student I engage with. My primary objective is to understand each individual's unique learning style, tailoring my tutoring approach to address their specific needs while simultaneously focusing on enhancing their understanding of the subject or exam techniques, which is a pivotal factor in achieving academic success. My ultimate goal is to build confidence in my tutees, as I firmly believe that self-assurance plays a crucial role in empowering them to believe in their capabilities and strive towards their objectives, whatever they may be.
In 2013, I successfully completed my university education, which provided me with a comprehensive understanding of various subjects, including clinical psychology, the science of education, developmental psychology, conformity and obedience, behavioral psychology, and more. Following that, I pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in primary education, further honing my teaching skills and pedagogical expertise.
Throughout my educational journey, I discovered a particular passion for working with children who have additional learning needs. This specialization allows me to provide targeted and tailored support to these students, ensuring they receive the necessary attention and assistance to thrive academically and personally.
With this combined knowledge and experience, I am dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of students by employing evidence-based educational practices and psychological insights to foster their growth and development. My commitment to education and my expertise in addressing diverse learning needs enable me to create inclusive and supportive learning environments that empower students to reach their full potential.
I firmly believe in fostering a comfortable, friendly and cooperative environment between the student and the tutor. I am a friendly, encouraging person and I like to identify and encourage the unique strengths of each student. Recognising that psychology is both content-intensive and skill-based, I draw upon my extensive examining experience to proficiently cultivate the essential skills required for success at GCSE, A-level or just building up your knowledge if you are a casual learner.
