Graduated Medical School from the University of Sheffield in 2018 and am now a General Practice Registrar (GPST2) based in Chesterfield. I have a keen interest in teaching and coaching, and enjoy providing a framework for students to to help them come up with the solutions to problems on their own. As well as sharing different techniques I have developed over time to help commit facts to memory.
For the next year I am taking a career break to play Professional Handball in Portugal and will have a significant amount of down time to spend towards this purpose.
I have recently passed my Applied Knowledge Test (AKT) exam towards my MRCGP and am very keen to help tutor students during Medical School, on applying for Medical School and towards A Levels in Biology.
Led multiple teaching sessions whilst at Medical School with the Peer Teaching Soceity
Certificate of recognition from Medical School for high quality ward based teaching
Examiner for University of Sheffield Observed Clinical Situation Exams (OSCE)
I use a heavily personalised style of tutoring, whereby I find out the goals of the student, their current knowledge and then devise a plan and structure to help them achieve that goal. As we move through the process and I learn more about how the student learns best I change plan accordingly.
