Benjamin is an exceptional tutor, who has been a wonderful help to my daughter in her preparation for history A level. He is courteous, efficient, thorough and provides valuable constructive feedback. My daughter started to see a significant improvement in her work almost immediately, and her confidence has really grown. We are extremely appreciative.

My son finds Ben is very helpful both on exam technique and wider knowledge beyond the curriculum. He enjoys his sessions with him.

Benjamin's lesson are greatly enjoyable through and through. He has great depth and breadth of knowledge for Russia, Civil Rights and Cold War units of IGCSE history, gives tangible and insightful feedback on my essays, and always manages to guide me to explore more beyond the curriculum. I achieved a grade 9 in the end, but the most valuable takeaway for me was that I regained an appreciation for history and realised the necessity of the skill to put things in context and analyse their impacts. I am still working with Benjamin for A Level English, and it is always a pleasure to discuss all things Shakespeare with him. Ben has been transformational for our son since he began working with him towards the end of Year 12, when we realised that he was having had little guidance from his school in terms of Oxbridge entrance. He has guided our son, giving him clear and challenging goals each week and has worked through a programme of reading in order to expand our son’s knowledge and understanding of history. He is now preparing him for a Cambridge interview, having coached him for the History assessment test. Our son holds Ben in high regard and has developed enormously over the last few months. We would have no hesitation in recommending Ben as a tutor.
Our son is now about to start studying History at Cambridge. We are certain that Ben was instrumental in enabling him to achieve this goal. He was the only student in his school to get an Oxbridge place. Ben advised him on his personal statement, coached him for his interview, prepared him for his A levels and finally worked with him preparing him for his first undergraduate year.

Benjamin is erudite, patient and experienced. My kid enjoys his lessons very much. Ben will also teach how to learn, it’s more important than what you are learning in some cases.

We had one history lesson with Benjamin. He was well prepared and knowledgable about the subject. He also gave us very detailed feedback about the lesson which was highly appreciated. Unfortunately he didn’t “click” with our son and they both found it challenging to work with each other so we mutually decided not to continue with the lessons. However we would recommend Benjamin as a teacher.

Benjamin has been helping my son over the past few months to prepare for History IGSCE. Although my son hasn’t had many lessons with Benjamin, there has been a significant improvement in his grades and essay writing. His confidence has been given a boost and he feels he is better equipped to take on the variety of topics that has been covered in school. My son has learned to be more precise in his writing, expanded his vocabulary and improved his ability to identify evidence relevant to the questions being answered. Benjamin is patient, meticulous and knowledgeable in the areas in which my son has needed help. I would not hesitate to recommend Benjamin.

Our son has thrived under Benjamin's tutoring and mentoring. Benjamin has prepared him very well for his Oxbridge interview. He has developed our son from an excellent A level student into one who approaches Oxbridge challenges with fresh thinking. He has built on my son's strengths, moving him - gently - from his 'comfort zone' into looking at history through a different lens. Benjamin is reliable and well organised. Ben is an excellent teacher, he is kind, knowledgeable, methodical and patient. Ben provides a supportive environment for pupils to achieve their potential. He has been helping my daughter for three months, with AS English Language and Literature; there has been a noticeable improvement. My daughter who lacks confidence has always had had difficulty taking part in lessons, in fear of feeling ‘stupid’.
