PhD-qualified historian and published academic with extensive experience teaching at university. With book and journal publications, conference presentations, and professional travel across Europe, North America, New Zealand, and Japan to engage with national heritage and museums, I bring brings deep subject expertise and global perspective into each session.
Teaching university undergraduates to include running seminars, giving lectures, marking essays and providing one-to-one feedback. Courses range from Introduction to Military History, parts 1 & 2; Armoured Warfare in Theory, Practice and Imagery; Britain and the Second World War: The Home Front. Also a trainer and mentor for new members of staff in the private sector as a Technical Team Leader in insurance claims handling and as a Senior Property and Operations Manager in property.

Each session is tailored to the student’s academic level, goals, and learning style, combining structured guidance with flexible discussion to promote independent thinking. I emphasise clear planning, strong analytical writing, and rigorous source evaluation, helping students not only to understand historical content but also develop transferable skills in discussion and research. My ethos is grounded in mutual respect, academic integrity, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed, whether they are building foundational knowledge or preparing for advanced research.
