Bernadette has been an amazing tutor for our 10 year old daughter. From our first contact with Bernadette she has been nothing but helpful, accommodating and professional. Our daughter finds her lessons interesting and really looks forward to them. If you are looking for an amazing tutor who is so good with children, reliable, super friendly and brilliant at their job then you need to book Bernadette.

Bernadette has been tutoring my daughter for 2 weeks, my daughter is enjoying the sessions and looks forward to Bernadette coming.

Bernadette currently teaches my 12 year old son English and has been for over 6 months now.
Due to Bernadette’s creative teaching methods and patience, my son has significantly improved his skills in this subject, and his confidence has grown.

Bernadette is reliable and prepares lessons well, being careful to ensure that they are in line with the school’s curriculum, but articulated at the right level and pace for my son, tailoring the lessons to make them engaging.

Bernadette has held 2 tutorials with my daughter so far. I am very happy with things so far. She has made a good connection with Ava who feels comfortable with her. Her approach to assess where Ava has gaps in her understanding before progressing onwards makes perfect sense. Bernadette is polite, respectful, organised and friendly. So far so good.

My girls have already had 2 lessons with Bernadette and I'm extremely pleased. She is very professional, attentive, kind and can approach any kind of a kid (my girls are really different). I would recommend Bernadette to anyone who is looking for an English tutor.

I would recommend Bernadette , she is an excellent tutor, great at building rapport, approachable, calm, patient and has done wonders at supporting my child to catch up with his school work. She gives me weekly updates of his progress and shares plans as to how she intends to continue to support his development. He also likes her and looks forward to their sessions.

We hired Bernadette to provide extra tuition for our daughter, who receives SEN support in school, in literacy and numeracy, and also to help in preparation for her second year entrance assessments. Bernadette has worked very well with our daughter who enjoys the sessions and working with her tutor.

Bernadette works closely with us to determine what areas we would like covered in the sessions and provides a review to us after each lesson as to what they have completed, advising areas were my daughter has done well, and were improvement is required. This is all done with a positive and encouraging attitude. I feel my daughter is more confident in approaching her work because of Bernadette’s tutoring. For example, she has been able to explain various techniques to use in her approach to literacy work which has made such work less daunting.

Bernadette has been helping my daughter with maths and literacy. She managed to put my shy, nervous daughter at ease straight away and has managed to engage her in the work by focusing on her special interests. Bernadette is always professional, prompt and reliable.

She ticks all the positive boxes

Our son is really benefiting from the sessions with Bernadette, with progress being made from the first session. Bernadette really engages with him and he looks forward to the sessions each week.

Bernadette is always on time, is really reliable and communications are very easy. My son really enjoys his sessions and we are already seeing him gain in confidence. Bernadette has a lovely way, my son really likes her, she’s very encouraging, calm and thorough.

Bernadette was fantastic from the start of her time tutoring our 10 year old daughter. We employed her mainly to get our daughter to focus on her homework and to reinforce the work she was doing in school. Bernadette provided appropriate work that was fun and interesting and challenged our daughter to go that bit further than she thought she could. Bernadette really engaged with our daughter and she always looked forward to her sessions. She was excellent motivation at a time when our daughter was struggling to focus. Bernadette definitely helped her achieve better levels in her SATS. Bernadette was always professional but at the same time had lovely chats with our daughter and got to know her which helped when setting work for her as she knew her interests. Our daughter still talks about her and definitely misses her help and guidance.

She is very lovely and firstly assesses the children to ascertain their level of skill. She knows how to engage the children with different fun activities while they are learning. She is patient and has good lesson plans on how to improve the children skills. We are really pleased with her and hope to see a lot of improvement in the children.

Bernadette is very good with my son and he enjoys his time with her, she is nice and calm and really engages with him . He is coming on really well with his reading and we are delighted with his progress.

Bernadette has been helping our son and daughter for several months now. Our son has additional needs, and our daughter has a lack of confidence. Both have benefitted massively from Bernadette's help. She has an individual plan in place for them both, she uses lots of different methods to keep them interested and motivated, they love to see her.
Bernadette is always punctual, she is lovely with the children and a pleasure to have in the house. Her attention to detail in the planning she does for each child is note worthy, she is always prepared for the lessons.

Bernadette has been working with my two daughters aged 4 and 5 for the past few months. They have both made excellent progress since having the tuition from Bernadette and they look forward to the lesson every week.
