I am a highly qualified teacher with over twenty years of experience teaching French to primary and secondary-aged pupils. I am DBS checked, and also have experience of private tuition. I am available for home-schooling during working hours and to support KS3/4 pupils in the evenings or at the weekend.
I have worked for the past twenty years at a high-achieving Hampshire school, where languages are an important part of the GCSE curriculum. As well as being an outstanding classroom practitioner, with high outcomes for my pupils, I also lead my department and organise numerous extra-curricular activities to help my pupils to enjoy all aspects of their language learning: exchanges, residential trips, language competitions and clubs. I currently also have a small portfolio of pupils whom I privately tutor.
I believe in a positive approach to language learning. My pupils enjoy my lessons because they are fun, varied and engaging, as well as organised and well-structured. The most important things for me are to ensure that my pupils enjoy their lessons and feel confident about their studies.
