I am an experienced Science/Physics teacher at an independent secondary school in Surbiton.
I specialise in teaching all three sciences at GCSE level.
I have a great deal of experience dealing with young people and find ways to relate to individual tutees to help progress their learning whether that be by using analogies, modelling or practical demonstrations.
I have 10 years of experience as a Physics specialist and have also completed advanced SKE courses at Charter House (Godalming) specialising in GCSE and A Level Physics.
My previous studies include two separate degrees in Biochemistry and Environmental Science, for which I hold a first-class Honours degree .
I use exam type questions as a basis of each session. I will reference the scientific background to the question and have the tutee re-examine this first, then I will show them a reliable method to deduce answers and apply this to future problem solving. I use a variety of resources including AQA, Edexel and OCR websites, workbooks and worksheets.
I also follow the guidelines and specifications set by each exam board to ensure my students are up to date on specific topics.
I will to develop well thought out exam techniques to help tutees to maximise their time during their GCSE exams.
