I am an experienced and energetic private tutor with a passion for helping children understand where there have previously been barriers, and I see a sense of humour as an invaluable aid!
I am also a musician, and am a professional classical singer alongside my work as a private tutor.

Tutoring Experience

I have twelve years private tuition experience across London, Cornwall and online in the highly competitive entrance exams at 7+, 10+ and 11+ entry points. I have achieved a very high success rate, with pupils gaining regular access to desired schools.
Concurrently, I was a member of two tutor agencies, Holland Park Tutors and Greater London Tutors, for whom I also taught group courses in English, maths and Common Entrance practice.
I teach students online both in the UK and China.
I am also a professional musician and have taught piano, composition and music theory since 2004.

Tutoring Approach

All children approach learning differently and I tailor my teaching to get the best out of each student's personal outlook on life. This requires a broad and flexible attitude in which getting to know the pupil is paramount.
I provide structured learning goals, targeted homework and weekly feedback to keep both the parent and child happy and fulfilled.
