I am an experienced and confident English teacher working in an high attaining department in the area. I love teaching students in a creative way that leaves them confident and empowered. As an examiner, I am passionate about making exam technique a breeze!

Tutoring Experience

I completed my PGCE at Newcastle University in 2020 and have spent the last 5 years teaching in secondary schools in the North East. I have extensive experience of teaching English Language and Literature at KS4 and have been an AQA GCSE English Language Examiner for the last 2 years so I have excellent knowledge on what is required to be successful in the exam.
I have worked with SEND students regularly across my career and I take great care when differentiating for students needs.

Tutoring Approach

Child focused, lessons can be adapted to learners needs and preferences. Every student is so different so I like to adapt and use varying creative approaches within my teaching!
