I have a first class honours degree in computing science. After 30 years in industry, working most recently at Rolls-Royce for 16 years as a quality and improvement manager, I have semi retired and now aim to enjoy life at a more leisurely pace. I am an experienced Rolls-Royce trainer and I enjoy teaching maths.
I have been tutoring GCSE maths since 2018.
I helped my husband through the maths for his HNC and my daughter through her GCSE maths. They both agree I am a good teacher and they got a distinction (HNC) and an A* (GCSE).
I delivered many training courses whilst working at Rolls-Royce to all different sorts/levels of people. I also had to accredit people with various qualifications/awards.
I am familiar with the syllabus for both AQA and Edexcel GCSE maths.
I also teach horse riding (dressage) which required patience and good communication skills.
According to requirements, I can cover the whole GSCE syllabus, or just sections of it. I will make sure the student understand the basics and the rules and then do lots of practice question to check understanding. I will set a reasonable amount of homework so that the student can make progress in between lessons and I they can check if they really understand a topic.
