My specialities are -
Enabling my students to:
* Be relieved of the anxiety they feel when having to do an assignment
* Become fluent and expressive in their writing

* Fully understand tricky concepts
* Explain exactly what they have learnt both in writing and in speech

Tutoring Experience

• I have over twenty years' experience of tutoring children, young people and adults. My focus is on making literacy enjoyable and empowering.
• I have designed and delivered a Language and Diversity programme for secondary school students, along with a programme for English as a Second Language. I have contributed to the training materials of an NCFE accredited course for group learning.
  
• I provide personalised creative writing activities for children, young people and adults.

Tutoring Approach

Please note: I do not seek to raise a student's grades or help them to revise for exams. My approach is based on taking the time to fully understand any difficulties that a learner is experiencing and providing them with activities that help to develop their literacy skills. Many of these activities will be done together, over Skype.
