Hello!
I am an English and Drama tutor who has a PGCE English with Drama qualification from UCL and a Bachelors degree from a drama school.

I have a fantastic understanding of both the British education system as well as the international baccalaureate.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching at a secondary school for the past three years. I taught Drama (KS3 + KS4, GCSE EDUQAS) as well as English (KS3).

Tutoring Approach

In my approach to tutoring, I integrate insights gained from various Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses to enhance my effectiveness. My experience attending CPDs while teaching at a secondary school has provided me with a deep understanding of diverse learning approaches and the characteristics of successful learners. I emphasise the importance of retrieval practice, utilising strategies that reinforce long-term memory and comprehension.

Additionally, my participation in the Drama Teacher Conference hosted by the National Theatre has enriched my pedagogical techniques, particularly in fostering creativity and engagement through Drama. This specialized training has equipped me with innovative methods to make learning more dynamic and impactful, ensuring that my tutoring sessions are both educational and inspiring. This CPD has also given me the opportunity of working first-hand with theatre practitioners such as Gecko.
