Tutoring Experience

I’ve over thirty years teaching experience, during which time I have had the opportunity to develop many different teaching styles, whilst keeping thoroughly abreast of technological advances and all the doors they open for foreign language learning.I am also thoroughly acquainted with the specifications for all the main examination boards and have considerable knowledge and experience in Edexcel, AQA and CIE A Level, GCSE and iGCSE. I am also excited to help students who will be shortly embarking on the new 2024 specifications with their highly engaging content which is more relevant than ever to today’s youngsters.
Now is the time to get ahead of the game with some tuition, in terms of being really match fit to put yourself across in the best possible light in your GCSE and A Level exams. I am deeply aware of the time lost during lockdown learning phases, especially with regard to speaking practice.

As an adult learner, you may well be excitedly looking ahead to a long awaited holiday abroad and topping up your speaking skills could be just what you need right now so you’re ahead of the game in all those real life situations like hotels, shopping and restaurants! For those of you in search of an academic qualification, I can train you up in all the skill areas for A1 and beyond via the Goethe Institut Zertifikat and Institut Français Delf exams.

Tutoring Approach

I’m happy working online if it works best for you but am aware some students engage more readily via a face to face session.
However you learn best, I’ll spot it quickly and adapt my teaching to create stimulating and fun lessons, tailor made for you!
I’ll identify your strengths and weaknesses promptly so as to focus on the key areas where you need extra support.
After each lesson I’ll send you links so you can practise and back up the material covered.
I’ll also mark your work as required and give you prompt and appropriate feedback in terms of what the examiners will be looking for which will make you stand out from the crowd!
