Hi, I'm Celestya, a graduate in Human, Social and Political Sciences at the University of Cambridge, with an MA in International Cooperation from ISPI. I've been tutoring since I was eighteen, working collaboratively with students of a range of ages, educational needs, and familiarity with the language. I'm particularly skilled at teaching writing techniques that not only lift English Literature grades, but vastly improve writing styles for all contexts.
I have six years' tutoring experience in English, Anthropology, Politics and other intersecting humanities. I especially enjoy teaching English Literature exam techniques at GCSE and Sixth Form level, as well as mentoring students in coursework such as IB Extended Essays and IAs (generally for Literature and Humanities).
Additionally, I have successfully mentored students in personal statements and interview preparation for applications to academic institutions such as UCL, Sevenoaks, Bocconi, the International School of Molecular Biology and the University of Tokyo.
I’ve developed a kind, engaging and interactive approach to teaching, which I’ve found particularly effective for students with specific learning requirements such as autism and ADHD.
Raised in a multicultural household, I also speak four languages (Italian, French and Japanese), which has helped me to connect further with students who speak English as a second language.
Students have returned to me for years to support their writing and editing needs, and it brings me immense pride and joy to participate in their growth and build a relationship of genuine trust and support.
