Tutoring Approach

My method is inspired from the “flipped classroom” pedagogic technique, where a substantial part of the work takes place outside the classroom in order to maximize the usefulness of the lecture hours. This means that a diligent student can obtain excellent results with a low number of paid tutorial hours. This is not only cost-effective, but it also teaches the student how to be independent and work on their own – always remember that during the exam the tutor will not be present!

I offer private mathematics (and physics) lessons at all levels online (using Zoom and the shared whiteboard), in English or Italian. I use a high-speed internet connection, a microphone with noise-cancellation and a Wacom CTH-461 graphic tablet, so I can write just as fast as I would do on a physical whiteboard. In my opinion, technology has reached a point where online tutorials have the same value as in-person lessons, and students can learn from the comfort of their homes.
