Private Chemistry and Biology Tutor in Acton

I have a doctorate in Biology and Chemistry at King's College London and a Master's degree at Imperial College London (distinction).

Tutoring Experience

For the past 5 years, I have tutored more than 50 students in 1-2-1 sessions for A-level Biology and Chemistry. The vast majority achieved a grade of A* or A!

I have experience in preparing students for multiple exam boards including AQA, CIE, Edexcel, OCR and Eduqas.

I've also tutored classes of 30+ undergraduate biology students at King's College London.

Tutoring Approach

My tutorials are tailored to my student's needs and include:
- Reviewing specific topics you feel you need help with;
- Working on exam-style questions, both during our sessions and as homework;
- Pinpointing knowledge gaps and revisiting essential concepts;
- As exam time approaches, we'll practice entire past papers to boost your confidence;
- Solidify understanding with topic-based worksheets, provided and reviewed by me;
- Providing personalised feedback regarding the student's progress.

Session content and frequency are tailored to the student's needs and cover basics such as biochemistry, classification, cellular biology and organisation, as well as more advanced topics such as photosynthesis, respiration, excretion, immunology, ecology and genetics.

My lessons are carried out on Zoom or Google Meet. I share my notes with the students and write and draw schematics to enhance learning. I'm easily reached on WhatsApp to answer questions that students encounter while studying.
