In the short time that Charles came to help Alfie at home with his maths he made such a difference to Alfie's confidence. Alfie always looked forward to him coming round. Charles makes maths fun as much as anything. If it wasn't for the Corona virus he would still be attending. Highly recommended.Many thanks for your lovely comments. Charles tutored my 16 year old son on a couple of occasions over the Easter holiday prior to his GCSE Economics. My son was missing a few basic concepts and had little idea how to approach answering the short answer and multiple choice questions. Charles was very patient with him and allowed my son to discover the answers himself through practice and guidance rather than just telling. This had an immediate impact on his confidence and I am so pleased to say he gained an A with 86%, when he had been predicted a B at best. Charles has really hit the right note with my son . He involves him in researching information and guides him rather than tells him.Ben is quite shy but Charles pushes him to respond in a constructive manner .

we interviewed a number of Tutors for Harry who after various discussions decided to start with a Tutor who was closer in age to him.Although this is perfectly understandable, I am not sure that this is a good way of chosing a tutor. At 56 I may be relatively old, but I have a wealth of teaching experience, having taught literally every age group and many subjects.
