Charlie

Hi there, my name is Charlie (female) and Im 34. I love in Easy Putney and work in Wimbledon as a full time teacher. I love reading, cooking, finding new food spots in London and am an obsessed cat mum! I love to go back it for dinner but also get stuck into a documentary at home. I am friendly and love my job b and helping others.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a teacher for twelve years. I have tutored children for ten years. I have lots of experience with a wide range of ages and needs. I teach Maths, writing, reading and SPaG every day and also have a secure understanding of the foundation subjects. I have taught in solely outstanding schools so I have great training and methods in my teaching.

Tutoring Approach

I am very friendly and form close friendships with my students..my aim is that they enjoy their sessions with me and then they work harder and get more from my lessons. Depending on the subject, I will usually play a warm up game to begin with (linked to the subject) and then a recap activity of what we did the previous session. Next, it really depends on what the subject is as maths and writing are very different structures. I provide lots of modelling and 'team work' and then there will usually be a short task for the child to do on their own, applying what they have learnt.
