I am a 30 year old woman who has now been teaching for 7 years. I have worked in a range of setting and have worked in different primary schools giving me the wealth of knowledge in order to tutor. I enjoy reading and spending time with my family when I am not working. I have a 2 year old daughter and understand the importance of providing your child with the best education.
I have been teaching for 7 years. I have worked in a range of schools and settings and have lead phonics and reading in a previous school.
As a passionate and dedicated primary school teacher, I firmly believe that every child has the potential to succeed and thrive in an environment that nurtures both their academic and personal growth. With a strong focus on phonics, English, and maths, I aim to create a learning space that is both engaging and supportive, where curiosity is encouraged and every student is given the tools to achieve their best.
Phonics is at the heart of my approach to early literacy. I use a variety of creative, hands-on methods to help young learners develop strong foundations in reading and writing. By making phonics fun and accessible, I ensure that children feel confident in their abilities and enjoy the process of discovering new words and sounds. This foundation in phonics naturally leads to success in reading comprehension, spelling, and written expression.
In addition to phonics, I am passionate about developing well-rounded literacy skills. I believe that English is more than just reading and writing—it’s about fostering creativity, building strong communication skills, and developing a love for language. I encourage children to express themselves through stories, poems, and creative projects, helping them to find their voice and grow in confidence.
When it comes to maths, I strive to make even the most complex concepts feel approachable. By using practical examples, visual aids, and interactive activities, I ensure that maths is not just about memorization but about understanding the logic and patterns behind it. I love seeing students light up when they solve a challenging problem or grasp a difficult concept, and I work hard to create a safe space where mistakes are seen as opportunities to learn.
Above all, I am dedicated to creating a classroom environment where every child feels valued, safe, and excited to learn. I believe that the foundation I help lay in the early years can shape a lifelong love for learning, and I am committed to supporting each child’s journey every step of the way. It’s a privilege to be part of their educational adventure, and I strive to make every lesson not just a learning experience, but a memorable one.
