Private Psychology and Entrance Exams Tuition in Clapham

Currently, I am the Head of Psychology at a high-achieving independent girls' school in London. Previously, I was Head of Psychology at a grammar school in South West London, where I worked for numerous years.

In addition to teaching, I mark Psychology exam scripts for the AQA exam board, giving me valuable insight into what examiners are looking for. I also have extensive experience supporting students with personal statement writing and university interview preparation.

While my primary focus is Psychology, I have also taught GCSE and A-Level PE (AQA specification). Furthermore, due to a decade working in academically selective schools (as well as attending one as a student myself), I am aware of the knowledge and skills needed to suceed in the 11+ examinations. I am passionate about helping students feel confident in their subjects and reach their full academic potential in a friendly and supportive environment.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 10 years of experience teaching in academically selective schools across both the state and independent sectors.
During this time I have taught both Psychology and Physical Education at A Level (mainly using the AQA specification).

Tutoring Approach

I use a variety of teaching styles tailored to the needs of students to ensure they remain engaged and achieve their best. My approach combines interactive and discussion-based learning, which encourages critical thinking and active participation, with clear, structured explanations to help students grasp complex concepts. I incorporate a range of resources, including real-world examples, visual aids, and past exam questions, to make lessons relevant and accessible. By adapting my methods to suit individual learning preferences, I create a supportive environment that fosters confidence and independence in my students.
