I am passionate about helping students gain confidence and skills in both German and History through engaging, student-centred lessons. Learning languages is about having the ability to communicate with as many people in the world as possible, learning about new cultures, and widening your perspective of the world. These are aspects of language learning that are very important to me and a reason why I want to encourage language learning. History is fascinating to me and was important in my development of critical thinking, analytical skills, and communication abilities. Skills that I hope to be able to share with others.

Tutoring Experience

I have been learning German for 10 years and have studied and lived in Germany for a year, giving me insight into the challenges of learning German. My degree in German and History has provided me with deep subject knowledge and analytical skills.

Tutoring Approach

Build Confidence, Skills, and Knowledge. I believe learning should be interactive and meaningful. In German, we will focus on active use of German: conversations and writing tasks to build vocabulary and grammar naturally. I will use scaffolding techniques to break down grammar and vocabulary. In history, I will help students develop critical thinking skills, which are vital to source analysis and strong essays.
