I am an approachable and compassionate maths teacher with lots of experience and a keen interesting in helping my pupils achieve their very best.
I have 10 years of teaching experience in secondary schools. I have taught pupils of all ages and abilities from 11-16. I have taught whole classes of 30 or more students and they achieved fantastic GCSE results. I have taught GCSE Mathematics at Higher and Foundation levels and I know the curriculum well.
I also have experience of tutoring and providing small group intervention work for pupils with additional needs from KS1 through to KS4. I have built successful relationships with school refusers, pupils with ASD and pupils absent through illness, resulting in improved confidence and engagement in learning.
I have an adaptive approach to teaching. I am equally comfortable stretching and challenging keen and enthusiastic learners as I am nurturing and encouraging those who may be less confident with mathematics. I have a wide range of experience and am able to provide lessons and activities to meet a range of learning styles. No one method works for all learners, you are an individual and will receive a bespoke package, designed around your own personal learning style, to support you in meeting your personal goals.
Whatever your starting point, with my support, you will become a more knowledgeable and more confident mathematician.
