I am a hospital doctor who is keen on tutoring students.
I graduated from St George's Hospital Medical School in London in 2020.
I graduated from an international school (TASIS, The American School in England) in 2014 with a standard college/university preparatory diploma, an IB diploma (41/45 points), as well as a certificate of induction into the Cum Laude Honours Society.
Between my third and fourth years of medical school, I took one year out to complete a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Global Health, as this is one of my areas of interest in healthcare. In my career, I intend on specialising in cardiology, with a special interest in interventional cardiology.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing basketball. Over 12 years, I played at varsity level for different schools and have competed in international sports tournaments.
I am regularly involved in teaching medical students during my working hours, both teaching on the wards and more formal teaching in lecture theatres/virtual teaching sessions.
I worked as a student ambassador for my university. This work included teaching clinical skills to young people considering a career in healthcare. I have always found it enjoyable and rewarding to either introduce or aid in consolidating knowledge on the health/biological sciences.
I am also able to tutor students in French, as it is a language spoken in my family and one which I studied for 7 years throughout primary and secondary school.
I approach teaching with an attitude that it is always ideal to move at the pace of the learner and to introduce new topics at the right time, after any required foundation knowledge has been established.
I teach in ways which make it easier for individual students to take in, rather than focussing on teaching 'by-the-book', as all students have different ways of learning and taking in material. I believe it's best to ascertain what ways work best for each student and adapt the teaching accordingly.
