Organised, excellent communication skills, reliable, professional manner in person, able to give presentations/ public speaking, great people skills/ first point of contact, British Sign Language level 1, networking and working with arts/ community organisations, media/publicity. I love the outdoors, travel, cookery and art.
I have been an English teacher (EFL / ESOL) on and off since 1998, where I trained in TESOL. I currently work in summer for Globe English Centre in Exeter, but I am seeking more hours. I taught children aged 3-17 in Thailand for one year, business English and conversation to adults in New Zealand and also adults as an ESOL lecturer in England for over seven years. I have helped students in Cambridge tests, such as CAE and national tests, some IELTS and general fluency and conversation. My recent experience is with teens and adults. I also tutor children aged 9-14 in their homes.
Very holistic, person-centred to suit the needs of the people or person I am teaching. For example at the moment I am teaching an SEN differentiated class - with a beginner teen and a second beginner who has SEN requirements. I am happy to make adjustments and teach on Zoom.
