My availability for private tutoring can be erratic as I work for a Boarding School with extensive extracurricular commitments and have three young children. I would be willing to travel up to 10 minutes from Sherborne/Yeovil - I prefer to deliver sessions online.

In the past, I have had much success delivering tutoring sessions intensively over the school holidays. These sessions can occur between 10:00 - 15:00 hrs from Monday to Friday.

Tutoring Experience

I am the Head of Business and Economics for an Independent School in Dorset, where I have worked since 2015. My teaching career started in 2008 in a London-based Comprehensive School rated Outstanding by Ofsted. As an experienced tutor, teacher, and examiner, I have accumulated detailed resources to help prepare students taking A Levels in Edexcel Economics and AQA Business.

As an examiner for AQA and Edexcel, I have marked over 1500 papers and developed strategies to help students avoid unnecessary exam errors that often cause them to miss their target grades.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to tutoring focuses on getting information out of students - not getting it in. Covering the content is only part of improving exam performance - focusing on how to learn and revision techniques can be fundamental to success at A level and beyond.
