Offering tuition in the Poole and Bournemouth area.
Performer, actor, author and museum guide. Education Facilitator for the National Justice Museum. I have a passion for local history and storytelling. I have written and performed presentations about the Romantic poets (Byron, Shelley, Coleridge) and the author Mary Shelley. These have been performed at Lowdham Book Festival and at various venues around the county.
I was invited to take part in the Qisetna Talking Syria workshop; working with Syrian people in Nottingham to create a storytelling production at the New Art Exchange which was performed at the Lakeside Theatre. This incorporated both live spoken word and music performance.
I have written many scripts for the National Justice Museum; creating 'Mock Trials' (both contemporary and historical) and a harassment 'Cyberbullying' trial for our 'Virtual Justice' programme (which educates children about online safety): this was delivered in local schools.
In 2024 I wrote and directed a one woman show for the Characters of Cranborne Chase project.
I speak conversational French and modern Greek. I am happy to visit families with pets and I have no allergies to animals.
My previous experience includes one to one private tuition (English Language and Literature up to GCSE level) and over 9 years experience at the National Justice Museum delivering our extensive education programme for NCCL (National Centre for Citizenship and the Law). Our education programme includes history, local history, the legal system, crime and punishment, online safety, risks and consequences, politics, rights and responsibilities. (All Key Stages from KS1 up to University Law Degree level). I am aware of how SENs can affect learning and every day experiences. The groups that visit the museum for Education sessions are from a wide variety of locations, social, religious and cultural backgrounds; including children with English as an additional language (EAL).
I take a holistic approach to tutoring, with a focus on social and emotional development; a positive attitude towards citizenship alongside development of academic skills and understanding a subject. The world is a complex place for children and young people to navigate and it is my mission to enable and facilitate that, whilst making learning enjoyable.
Students receive one to one personalised sessions, tailored to their needs.
