I am a dedicated tutor with a passion for languages and culture. I have taught in France and SE Asia and have 17 years’ teaching experience. I have taught all ages and abilities including IELTS exam preparation.
I am a mother of 2 and live and work locally.
I enjoy music, cycling, walking and sea swimming.
My classes are engaging and I am happy to tailor classes to suit individual needs, exam focus or simply enjoy a conversation.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught English as a Foreign Language for 17 years both in the UK and abroad. I currently teach refugees and young ESOL students as well as adults in a FE College.

Tutoring Approach

I use a communicative approach. My classes are student centred and based on theories of the language experience where the learner determines pace, topic and language focus.
