I am a fully qualified teacher with four years classroom experience and seven years of tutoring experience. I am now a full time private tutor. I am able to tutor primary, secondary and A-level maths. I have experience tutoring adults doing functional skills maths and access courses for University.
I taught in secondary school for four years and taught GCSE at both foundation and higher level, new curriculum. I also taught in a middle school, so have KS2 experience working towards SATs. Since tutoring I have worked with students of all ages from Year 1 through to Year 13. I always tailor the tutoring to your needs, be that supporting current classroom work, or teaching the whole syllabus from beginning through to exams, for students who are being home schooled. I work online using Pencil Spaces - a dedicated tutoring platform, accessible through tablet or web browser.
I provide on-line tuition in maths for students from Year 7 to Year 13.
Every student is given an individual programme of support tailored to help get the best possible results. Additional homework is encouraged. My approach is flexible, so if a student has a school assessment we can work on revision for this, dropping back to the programme of study as and when necessary.
KS3/GCSE Maths and further maths:
For £15 - Students attend a weekly session, where they work in their own private breakout room, meaning they receive personalised guidance and can ask questions. There are usually just 2 to 3 students per call, allowing for plenty of individual instruction. This approach encourages independent learning, helping to build confidence and self-reliance in the students studies.
See 'in addition' section below for further benefits.
KS2/3/4/5 - SATS to A-level maths:
For £30 - Students attend a 1-2-1 online session with me. Individual attention for the full hour (limited availability).
See 'in addition' section below for further benefits.
In addition:
Regardless of which session you choose, students can access learning materials at any time, including fun interactive quizzes, worksheets and videos. They, receive regular feedback and recommended next steps. The materials build to form an excellent revision resource as students approach their GCSE exams. Parents receive a report every week during term time, so you can see progress, achievements and concerns.
