I am a very experienced teacher offering my professional skills to both primary and secondary learners.
I can't think of another job that brings so much joy! I have been teaching since 2004, in a variety of schools. I have taught all subjects at primary level and tutored English to secondary level. I am a qualified SENCO and have both taught children with a range of educational needs. I have trained other school staff in a variety of teaching styles to ensure children can learn and grow.
The best part of my job is working one to one with children who really need some extra help ans support. Building the confidence of a learner and seeing them begin to really grasp ideas they once found difficult, or knowing that they can challenge themselves and confidently move forward is one of the most satisfying parts of being a teacher.
I have a particular interests in teaching children how to learn, develop them as active., independent learners, special needs and mental health.
I teach and tutor children from primary school, all the way through to GCSE's and IGCSE's.
My approach to tutoring is very pupil centred. Through discussion with both parents and the child it becomes very clear which style of learning will be most enjoyable and effective. I am very aware of the self esteem and confidence levels of the children I am working which and will ensure that this grows alongside their subject knowledge. I am flexible in my approach and aim to be as creative, imaginative and stimulating as possible which ensuring the learning outcome is achieved.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have and I'll reply as soon as possible.
