I am a 5th year medical student at the University of Oxford at University College. In third year I achieved my BA in Medical Sciences with a First Class degree. I now am focused on my studies with not long to go before qualifying as a doctor. Though dedicated to my studies, I spent a lot of time playing rugby too.
I have tutored A Level Biology for a number of years to students either struggling with schoolwork or who would like to gain some extra knowledge and go that bit above and beyond. For medicine, as well as offering interview preparation and personal statement advice, I can offer tutoring in medical topics studied early on to solidify your understanding of physiological principles and clinical scenarios.
Though of course it depends on the topic, I like finding out what students are struggling with, either by their own admission or through questions which may highlight these. From here, I ensure I understand the level of detail they need to know on the topic. A session would typically involve a mini-lecture, then the opportunity to ask questions, and then working through some practice questions together.
