I have a degree in joint Maths and Physics with subsidiary subjects Economics, Business Studies and Management Science. I am also a qualied Accountant and a qualified Teacher. I have had a successful career in Business at Managing Director/Director level both in the UK and the USA.

Tutoring Experience

I am currently at Haberdashers' Adams Grammar School in Newport, Shropshire where I teach Maths to students from 11 to 18. Over 90% of our students achieve A/A* at GCSE and A Level. Previously I taught in Kidderminster and Leominster.

Tutoring Approach

The first meeting will be to assess what level the student is currently working at, identifying any weaknesses and strengths. From this I can put together a plan of action/study to help the student get to the level he/she needs to be at.
I use a variety of resources and activities in order to explain and help students understand concepts.
I believe in making Maths applicable and relevant and even fun where possible. This helps to overcome the "fear" of Maths.
I will continuously monitor the students progress through exercises, tests and homeworks and provide feedback to parents on a regular basis.
