I have always had a passion for maths. I find it incredibly rewarding to help students build their confidence in the subject and develop their skills. I’ve been fortunate enough to gain experience volunteering as a tutor, where I’ve had the opportunity to work with students of various levels and abilities.

Currently, I work in tax, but my love for teaching and helping others has remained a strong driving force in my life. I particularly enjoy working with students who are eager to learn and grow. There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing a student develop their understanding of a topic and grow in their academic journey.

Tutoring Experience

I’ve been tutoring GCSE-level maths since 2019, working with students of various abilities to help them master key concepts and build their confidence in the subject. My tutoring experience includes both in-person sessions and a transition to online tutoring during the pandemic, which has allowed me to refine my skills in delivering lessons remotely while maintaining a strong connection with my students.

Over the years, I’ve worked with students preparing for their GCSE exams, providing targeted support in areas they find challenging, from algebra to trigonometry and beyond. I’ve developed a flexible and adaptive teaching style, ensuring that each lesson is tailored to the individual’s needs. Whether in-person or online, I focus on making complex topics easier to understand and creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and engaging actively in their learning.

Tutoring Approach

I believe in breaking down difficult problems into smaller, more manageable parts to help students gain a solid understanding of each individual concept. By focusing on one aspect at a time, I ensure that students don’t feel overwhelmed and can build their confidence as they master each part.

Once the fundamentals are in place, I bring everything together by guiding students through questions that test multiple areas. This approach allows them to see how different concepts are interconnected and how to apply them in a variety of contexts.
