I am an enthusiastic tutor who will work hard to get the best out of the young person I am working with. I have a variety of interests and consider myself an engaging, friendly, patient person.

Tutoring Experience

I am a teacher with a varied background. I have worked with young people from 5-18 who have struggled to engage with education. I have spend years working with those that have been permanently excluded from schools and those that have demonstrated challenging behaviour within school. I have also been involved working with those that have had a difficult past and had some great success with positive engagement. I currently work in mainstream
enthusiastically teaching History, Geography and the ASDAN award, I am also highly involved in pastoral care and safeguarding.

Tutoring Approach

I would like to think I could tutor most students in most subjects making the material accessible for the young person I am working with. My approach may vary depending on the needs of the learner but I consider myself approachable, patient, firm but fair.
