I am a professional teacher in Bath and Bristol. I have over 12 years experience of both classroom and one to one teaching. I am a passionate musician and have lead many students successfully through ABRSM practical and theory exams, GCSE and A Level exams and have worked with ensembles to put successful performances together. I studied Music Technology and Composition at university so I also have a good knowledge of composing using technology which is particularly useful for GCSE and A Level students. I play trumpet in a few bands but also love to play piano, guitar, flute and to sing. I have grade 8 performance and grade 8 theory with ABRSM.
I have over 12 years teaching experience, 2 years in Essex, 9 in London and currently teach in a secondary school in Bristol. I have a PGCE and MTeach, both of which are teaching qualifications. Please see my feedback as I have excellent reviews from the families I have worked with.
I am a calm and relaxed person but I do believe in hard work. I like to develop a friendly but disciplined relationship with my students. I try to explain things to them in ways they understand and will remember, invariably this requires various different approaches and explanations.
As a musician I am creative with my sessions and endeavour to keep my sessions fun so that learning can become a joy.
