Are you searching for an experienced, knowledgeable, and approachable tutor? With over 12 years of experience as a Maths teacher and running my own successful tutoring business since 2022, I’m passionate about helping students excel. As a mum of two, I understand the importance of connecting with each student, providing personalised support, and motivating them to reach their full potential.
Since qualifying in 2012, I've taught students across various age groups and levels, focusing on GCSE resits from 2015 to 2022. I'm a highly confident GCSE teacher with a deep understanding of the syllabus and a clear grasp of what it takes to help students succeed and pass their exams.
My experience as an exam marker for one of the major exam boards has provided me invaluable insights into exam structure and techniques, which I leverage to guide my students effectively.
Throughout my career, I have taught and tutored thousands of students through their GCSEs, including those with ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, eating disorders, and mental health challenges. I am dedicated to providing a supportive, sensitive, and encouraging learning environment tailored to each student's individual needs.
I have limited availability for one-on-one tutoring but currently have openings in my small group sessions, which are capped at just five students to ensure personalised attention.
Why group sessions? Not only is it more cost-effective (£27ph for groups, £45ph for 1:1), but group maths sessions offer a dynamic and collaborative learning environment where students can benefit from the collective knowledge and perspectives of their peers. Working together in small groups fosters teamwork, encourages problem-solving, and allows students to learn from one another’s questions and approaches. These sessions help build confidence and create opportunities to make new friends, all while ensuring that each student receives the attention they need, thanks to the small class size. With a focus on collaboration and support, group sessions can make learning maths more engaging and enjoyable.
Please note: Sessions are invoiced monthly in advance, and I maintain a strict cancellation policy. I kindly request at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel a session. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice will still be billed in full.
