Asked if I could sign a contract and explained doesn’t take on student’s any less than having to learn for at least a year which isn’t something stipulated in the bio.
Hi Hayley,
Sorry you have misunderstood our conversation, it may have been your autistic son distracting you during our chat, you did seem quite stressed. It is a shame no sessions ever took place as I am fully equipped to teach autistic students.
Here are the facts you failed to mention:
I sent you an agreement to read and instructions on making payment for our consultation prior to it happening. You did not read any of this information so you came in uninformed and unprepared. I also took the meeting without the 50% discounted fee from you in advance. At the end I said not to worry about a charge and that I would do the consultation for free. You fail to mention that in your review.
I set up a special KS3 server on Discord with all the curriculum information and useful links to KS3 science resources. You did not attempt to join this server or seek help from myself. This is time invested for you and your son I was also not compensated for.
I believe you implied your son needed longer term support as he was out of school and needed home schooling. You failed to mention it would be short term (one month) until the end of the academic year.
You state that I only take clients for a year. This is inaccurate, I said I typically work with students for six months to a year, but it may be shorter. In the agreement it states tuition can be cancelled at any time with 48 hours notice, so no one is roped in as you imply.
You say I use a contract, also incorrect. I use a service level agreement which clients like and it serves both parties well. As you failed to read this I don't think you should make any assumptions it is a bad thing.
No tuition sessions ever took place with your son. Feedback is generally reserved for those that have something to say about their experience over a period of tuition.
From Toby
My son has made very good progress with one lesson per week, he greatly appreciates David 's in depth knowledge of geology.
From Louise
David has always been very thorough as a teacher, both in explaining what was necessary going forward towards gcse and in the teaching of the subjects themselves. He has always provided work to do at home also in between lessons. I cannot recommend him highly enough, and my daughter now looks forward to her science lessons whereas she was struggling before.
From Laura
My son tells me that David is friendly and engaging. David helps him to understand what his school teachers are unable to. I have seen an improvement in my sons school grades since having David as a tutor.
From Yuli
During September of last year, we found Mr David through First Tutors, because our daughter needed assistance specifically chemistry and physics. During this time, my daughter has improved greatly and we have found that David has been extremely helpful and always willing to provide any extra support. Additionally, he has excellent punctuality and is always enthusiastic to find out what my daughter has recieved in any mock exams including how she can improve. Therefore, we would recommend David to anyone.
From Irene
David is proactive, professional and helpful. He is a highly qualified teacher. Regrettably we couldn’t use him as he is not currently teaching WJEC A level Geology and our son in year 13 needs specific help urgently. We wish him well.
Thank you for your review. No sessions took place with this client.
From Kai
David is an excellent tutor. He has been teaching my daughter since Spring and my daughter has found him very resourceful, kind and knowledgeable.
David plans his classes very well in advance, depending upon the need of his tutee and gives some home-works every time too.
Highly recommended and glad we have found him. 5 Stars all the way
