I have been involved in science all my life with over 30 years of teaching experience at all levels from the ages of 11-14 to university students. I retired from university several years ago and now continue my teaching to inspire new generations of students who like me are fascinated by science and its associated subject areas.
I have been teaching in Biology and its associated scientific areas for many years including maths and IT. I have taught in small groups and one to one tutoring at levels from the age of 11 years to university undergraduate level. This experience of teaching at a wide range of different levels has given me tutoring skills to appreciate the different approaches required by different tutees.
I adopt an informal friendly approach to all tutees recognising that each tutee may well be a future distinguished scientist or mathematician. I find that often a tutee's problem is not one of knowledge but of exam technique which fails them. So tuition focuses on both improving the tutee's knowledge and their exam technique
