I originally graduated in Mathematics from Leicester University. and spent many years working as an Analyst/Programmer for companies such as British Gas, Spring I.T. Solutions and Dudley Council. I am now a tutor and cover all aspects of Mathematics, with a particular interest in Statistics. I am happy to do in person tutoring.

Tutoring Experience

I have recently joined First tutors but have been a personal tutor for 9 years teaching Maths at Secondary level up to GCSE and 'A' Level. All my regular students have passed and been happy with grades received (My GCSE students have achieved grades from 5 up to 8). I am well versed with the curriculum and cover all exam boards.

Tutoring Approach

I like to identify the areas the student is struggling with most and give tuition and lots of practice questions for those areas. As the exams approach, I provide old exam papers to work through. I usually set homework as it gives a good guide as to how the student is progressing. I have a patient and understanding approach, and have had very good feedback.
