Hello,
I'm David, or "Mr. A" to my younger mentees. I'm a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, specialising in Steam Turbines for power generation. I've been working in the Power, Renewables and Energy sectors for the last ten (10) years and I'm now the steam turbine expert at a global consultancy.

I've been priviaged to work with a number of young engineers in their professional development as a mentor within the various companies I've worked with and wanted to further impact the lives of young people who are considering a career in STEM, with my specific focus being engineering.

I believe in imparting knowledge through wisdom and understanding at every opportunity. It is my desire that our time together on this learning journey will be fruitful and enjoyable, and you'll come to love learning through your own methods.

Tutoring Experience

I was previously a Maths and English tutor in an after school club while studying at university, and I continued as an engineering tutor during university. Now I primarily operate as a professional mentor who provides tution services in Maths, Physics and Mechanical Engineering.

Tutoring Approach

I find with learning that there is no "one for all" method. Therefore, I provide a needs based learning approach which is student lead. I provide guideance and direction to help navigate my students to their desired solutions.
