Dean has got a very good teaching style and keeps everything interesting, my Spanish improved dramatically after only a few weeks. Deans sets lots of things to do outside of the tutoring sessions and just by doing the homework he set my level of Spanish greatly improved in quite a short period of time. Dean is very good at tailoring the tutoring sessions specifically to what you need to work on and I achieved A level overall. I would definitively recommend him. Thanks Dean!

The lessons with Dean have given me a great confidence boost. His lessons are interesting, and the one-to-one approach makes a real change to college. He has given me some excellent resources, and the environment is friendly and relaxed. Dean has taken care to set the lessons at the correct level for me, and I'm hopeful that all of this will reflect my grade in the summer.

Absolutely superb teacher who spends hours organising and planning lessons based on your personal needs. Whenever you turn up to the lesson he has a whole pile of things planned! The carefully assembled listening exercises have been exceptionally helpful, considering how hard it is to find listening material with activities at this level. He provided lots of different ways of approaching the listening exercises, pointing out useful ways to consolidate what you're hearing and how to access the language. There is also a lot of grammar practice which improves fluency and also allows you to fine tune certain areas you find difficult. Learning grammar is never repetitive as he gives plenty of useful tips and tricks to help memory and understanding. Equal time and attention is given to listening, reading, writing and speaking with particular emphasis on fluency which has been the greatest help in my A Level course. I have always struggled with speakings and have always put it down to lack of vocabulary but he taught he a different way to approach speaking exercises and helped me to think of ideas in Spanish before trying to put it into words, something which has been noticably helpful in my oral lessons at my college. There are multiple activities every lesson to test different areas of your capabilities and to allow you to maintain concentration. Before I began with tuition, I was achieving an average of a D and I was getting around 50% in my mock exams but within just a few months, I have moved up to a B and have achieved 80% in my recent mock exams! You advance very quickly due to the intense, but accessible style of teaching. I feel much more confident in my Spanish lessons and this is due to the excellent tuition. Highly recommended!

Dean prepared me for both my Spanish speaking and written exams. I found the opportunity to speak one to one a good addition to my college classes, and it was a valuable way to improve my vocabulary, fluency and pronunciation. We focussed on necessary topics. For the written paper I found help with the translation the most useful exercise by exposure to a wide range of materials - particularly online. Thanks Dean. Stanley
